Old Ladies Love it When I Talk Smut.

There is no doubt about it, I have impeccable timing. It seems to be predestined that whenever I say something completely and utterly embarrassing or sexual, someone who really shouldn't hear about it walks past. When I say 'walks past', I mean 'miraclulously turns up next to me for reasons unknown'. I don't know if this is the work of some celestial force, or a hint that I should acquire a less risque sense of humour.

Okay, so maybe I shouldn't have been talking to Anonymous Albino about boobs in a public place, erm, year twelve area. But, sixteen year old boys often only appear to have one thing on their minds, and he needed to be scolded. I'm not sure how the topic got as whack as it did. Let me try and remember...

AA: I have a brilliant idea! Gingerbread women. With gobstoppers for breasts. I could make a fortune out of that.

Humph. Of course no menopausal teachers are ever around when he says things like that. Actually, that's a lie. Next to me, he gets caught out saying 'interesting' things the most. That's probably only because he mentions such things so frequently, though. Now, where was I?

DSGirl: You'll need to expand your industry. You're not going to make enough money out of gingerbread men with boobs alone.

AA: Oh course I would. I'm sure that if they were in adult stores, they'd sell.

I'm pretty sure they already do sell gingerbread women, guys. I'm pretty sure that at this point, one of the guys in our group put his head on the table in shame. Sadly my friends, this was only the beginning. The gingerbread argument turned into a girls vs. guys debate on what was actually good about boobs. It got kinda... funky.

DSGirl: They don't stay firm forever, you know.

AA: Alas, that is true. I was very sad to have learnt that.

DSGirl: Wait... There was a time when you didn't know that?

AA: I'm sure that as a little kid, I wasn't looking at old people and thinking "Wow, those boobs aren't firm anymore."

DSGirl: Yeah, but you'd still see older women and know that out of general observation. It's something that just happens, and that's okay, because it's not like you want some old women walking around being like "Hey! Look at my nice, firm brea-"

At this point, my Biology teacher magically appeared out of nowhere. Well, apparently everyone else had seen her walking up, but I'd been facing the opposite direction, and had failed to notice. My reaction was something along these lines:
My hand automatically flew to my mouth, as if it smother it, lest something even worse were to come out, and I couldn't see myself, but I can almost guarantee that I was blushing. To make things just that little bit less suspicious, everyone suddenly decided to cease talking altogether. My Biology teacher looked at us all very strangely. She thought that we had been talking about her.

BT: Were you talking about me? All I heard was 'old woman', so I hoped that you weren't talking about me.

Everyone hastily denied that the conversation had been about her.

Everyone: No! Now it wasn't-
AA: We were just talking about old people in general.

Yeah, really smooth. At least she didn't hear what I was actually saying. This post shows that I'm no stranger to making blunders in front of respectable people. The worst of these incidents was probably last year's Biology camp. Some of my female friends and I were staying in a cabin that obviously used to be a room for boys. The pornographic drawings on the ceiling made that all too clear. And, well, the people running the camp obviously hadn't washed the doonas we had to use, because mine had a few white crusty stains on it. Yes, my friends, I had some very interesting, and probably correct theories about this. I spent a good ten minutes screaming and cursing about this, when, to my horror, our friendly neighbourhood overly-Christian male teacher knocked on the door, and told me that he had heard every word I had said.

The moral of this story is: if you don't have something respectable to say, don't say anything at all. I'm only kidding, if you don't have something respectable to say, go ahead and say it! If you have half my luck, great amounts of hilarity will ensue. May the demisemiquavers be with you, munchkins!

[demisemiquavergirl], bite your tongue!

He no happy with you...

Your Weapon is Your Voice.

Greetings, good bloggers. My goodness, I am in a good mood. In fact, I've been in a really good mood all day. It doesn't make much sense, considering I left a lot of the things I need for assignment work at school, and I have three assignments and a 3000 word draft to write tomorrow. My internet is so slow that it can barely be considered working, and I should be in bed asleep. I need to practice instrumental, because I have an assessment on Monday. Despite all of this, I'm feeling really happy. Most of the seniors went to a careers expo on Friday, which, let's be honest, the vast majority of people went to because it was free and time off school. Yeah, there were some really cool freebies (giant lollipops anyone?) and I spent a good deal of time either sitting down chatting, or pigging out on food. But, when I did actually go and look around at the stalls, and when I talked to the people at the specific university that I want to go to, it was really informative. I've decided that I'm not going to be lazy, and I'm going to do the double-degree, starting next year: Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Spanish and English Literature, and Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management, majoring in Events Management. It certainly is a mouthful! I think a lot of my hobros are going to be doing Arts next year, so I'll get to see them around. Thinking that I'll still have something to do with at least some of my friends is a big relief. I really don't want to lose everyone, because well, I'm pretty much socially inept, so making new friends is hard, and I really do love my current crew.

I mean, we can all have such random times. For example, tonight I went to [TenutoTuo]'s Eurovision Second Semifinal party. I made a deathly nachos, that actually turned out to taste pretty good, and spilt half the things I tried to eat all over myself. [ClearlyUnfocused] and I ranted and dissed the twins through their whole performance, and got depressed when Bulgaria didn't get through to the finals. [GoJo] and I found out that staring at curtains was highly entertaining, and us chicas all cracked up singing "ding dong, say no more". Everyone sung along to New Tomorrow, I mean, how could you not? And, like, Jedward. Do I even need to say anymore? Disappointingly, many of the entrants that I liked didn't qualify for the Final. Devo'd. I'll still be watching it tomorrow night, though, so no epic spoilers anywhere, mmkay? Turns out that my Dad ended up watching Eurovision at home, while I was out. He had the same favourite countries as me (Bulgaria, Denmark, Slovenia, Ukraine), so whoot. Except, I loved Belgium and Ireland as well. Heck, I loved most of them, I just can;t remember them all right now. Dad totally wasn't keen on Jedward, but that was hardly surprising. Apparently my Mum really didn't like Bulgaria. What a lamo.

Eurgh. Quarter past twelve, I should probably go to bed. Mmm. Yes, I am feeling very content. But, some shout outs before I go.
[ClearlyUnfocused] - Good luck with your baptism tomorrow! I'm so sorry that I can't be there, but my thoughts and prayers will be with you. I find it so wonderful and inspirational that you've decided to take that step in affirming your faith. Go, you good thing! God bless.
[TentuoTuo] - I hope you're alright. As you know, I didn't fully know what was going on tonight, but I just went to check Fb and, yeah. If you need to talk any time (or not) feel free. I can haz hugs for you on Monday?
[GoJo] - Erm, yeah, just sending some love out to you too, spesh kiddo. Your Denmark reppin' tonight was totes hawt, just sayin'. xP

Bulgaria's song! </3

Okay, so we all know it's past my bedtime, because I'm starting to write drivel. Yeah? Yeah. Alright then, goodnight everyone!

The Innocent Kid Has Faith In Schoolies

A paradox of teenage emotion and hormones, schoolies represents a rite of passage for most young adults, and is an essential way to celebrate the ending of school.
Yeah, I don't know, I just made that up on the spot. Actually, I'm not even sure if that makes sense, but it was a good enough opener for this post. I really should have said "ZOMG SCHOOLIES, HOES!" because, that totally sounds more intelligent.
For those of you who live under a rock (or on a different continent. I know that only 4 people read my blog, but hey, maybe it will actually become popular one day), schoolies is the week that follows the commencement of Grade 12 in Australia, every year. It is usually a time where underage teens go out and get smashed, get high, and get knocked up. But hey, they get to go to the beach and par-tay all night long.
Personally, I think the repercussions of something like that are too great, so I won't be spending my week as such. Instead, my friends and I plan to hire out [ClearlyUnfocused]'s relative's holiday house for the week and indulge in some good, old fashioned fun.
Okay, the whole week may not be entirely wholesome, but compared to 99% Australian teenagers, the things we get up to on this week are going to look like... Erm. A single demisemiquaver, in contrast to a symphony.
But, that's what is making me look forward to schoolies week so much. I know that I'm just going to have a carefree, fun-filled week with some of the most amazing people. I'm not going to have to worry about waking up pregnant, or raped, or mauled.
Oh, it's so exciting. We've already planned silly little things, like staying up on the first and last night. Being on the beach for sunset and sunrise. Taking group shots on the beach.Wearing our old school blazers to a formal restaurant. Having a pizza night. Making [AnonymousAlbino] shout us dinner one night. Having a movie night, consisting of all the films that we haven't been allowed to watch, or have just missed out on, even though many of them are lame. Maybe even having a paintball fight in old school uniforms.
It's these little (and big) things that I know I will always cherish. There have already been moments like these, and I know that I will never forget them. I really have been incredibly lucky to meet such amazing people in high school, and I'm really looking forward to celebrating the start of my adult life with them. Most people run away and ditch their high school friends (even though they say "Waaaah. Be in my lyf 4eva babeee. I wills mizz yhuu so muchhh. Friendz alwyz." Sorry, I can't help but impersonate teenage girls). Anyway, I really don't want to lose mine. Even if I don't talk to them for a few months at a time (which would suck, but it's not impossible), I can still imagine meeting up with them, and having a fun time, like I do now. It's weird, but I can picture myself knowing many of these people for my whole life.
I don't know what's going to happen after schoolies. Depending on if we get a good enough OP, a few of us will probably go off to the same University, and study different things. Maybe some people will take a gap year. Maybe some will be awesome and get a good job straight away. Maybe some will get married fast and go off with their little families.
There is no way I can predict what is to come; all I know is that there is no other group of people I would want to start my adult life with. So, cheers guys, I look forward to spending the rest of the year with you, and I can't to see what crazy things we get up to on schoolies.

Why Being Cool is For Losers

Now, I realise that at the rate I'm posting, I could be classed as a "blogging maniac", but that's okay. Truthfully, I feel a little like one. I also feel like eating chocmint icecream, but that has nothing to do with this post.
I'm pretty open about the fact that I hate society, and a good portion of humanity, but I'm often able to resist going on long rants about them. Right now is not one of those times.
I've changed my mind; it's going to be short and sweet, because I'm tired and want to go to bed.
Okay, to my point. It has come to my attention lately that most teenage friendships these days are incedicly fickle. I am sick of having my Facebook news feed clogged up with silly 13-year-olds professing their undying love for one another, and how they feel like, though biology suggests differently, they are actually family.
Here's the thing: If they were in fact, as comfortable in their relationships as they say, they would not need to constantly reassure eachother of how much they cared. I have such a strong friendshippy-love for my group of buds, but you don't see me bombarding people's internet pages with compliments and reassurances. This is because they know that I care about them. Sticking with people through thick and thin strengthens a relationship more than "iluvyuhh foreva babeee xx" ever has or will.
Also, I'm noticing a pattern of sucking-up going on. You don't see these teenagers, who claim to love others for who they are as people, posting about how much they love someone, if this person does not fit into the set societal model. Why? Because they're not 'cool', and if anyone is seen associating with these 'uncool' people in a friendly way, they too are classed as being 'uncool'. Which, may I add, I completely ridiculous.
I've never really had an authentic friendship with someone who was considered to be popular. Why? Because, well, they're so hard to actually have a true relationship with, because they're too caught up in the status quo to be completely true to themselves.
If there is something I pride myself on, it's that I am always true to myself. I will not change, or remodel myself for anyone, ever. Unless, of course, I've found some terrible flaw in myself that I believe needs rectifying. Yes, this has caused me to be severely bullied at times, and yes, this has often made it hard for me to make friends with people. But, at the end of the day, I can go to sleep knowing who I am, and that is a blessing.
So, to sum up my point. People who think they are 'cool' because they make fickle friendships, and feel the need to constantly post about them, are sad. It actually does sadden me to think that people feel that desperate to fit in, that they would compromise themselves. But, I'm veering off track.
If you make real friendships, and look out for people, caring about who they are, and genuinely taking an interest in their wellbeing, then, you have achieved something more precious and wonderful than any amount of popularity.
May the demisemiquavers of life lead you to good friendship, but, for tonight, adios amigos!
